RF Filters

ATX has over 20 years of experience in designing and manufacturing industry leading RF Filters. High RF performance, quality, price, the ability to custom, and speed of delivery are characteristics attributable to the entire PCI Filter line.

ATX’s filter product offering includes narrow band bandpass, highly selective bandpass, general bandpass, wide bandpass, noise filter for fiber optic systems, band rejection, channel deletion, indoor channel deletion - digital (QAM), split band for fiber optic links, high performance diplex, lowpass, highpass, brick wall low/highpass, and pilot carrier traps. These filters are available in either wall or rack mount versions for headend, hub site, and utility enclosures, as well as in environmentally sound, power passing outdoor housings that can be strand, pedestal, or wall mounted.

Narrow Band Bandpass
The NB-8705R is designed to isolate a desired carrier and suppress interfering, unwanted carriers in CATV headends.

Noise Filter for Fiber Optic Systems
The WBP-9340 allows signals between two customer specified 3 dB points (knees) to be passed with anything outside this bandwidth being rejected. These filters are typically used in fiber optic transmission links to remove unwanted distortions.

Channel Deletion (Standard Indoor & Extended Temperature)
The CD-9002 will delete an entire television or LAN channel and allow a new data or television channel to be reinserted. The extended temperature version operates over a temperature range of –20°C to +50°C (-4°F to +122°F) and must be inserted in an outdoor filter housing.

Split Band Filter for Fiber Optic Links
The DXP-9455 is a selective diplex filter that provides customer specified 1 dB points that cross over so the passband is removed from the filter knee ensuring low group delay. The passband has less than 1 dB ripple to 750 MHz.

High Performance Diplex Filter Network
The DXP-9655-D high performance filters are used to separate or combine Sub VHF and VHF frequencies. It is designed for headend applications to launch and/or combine upstream and downstream signals.

Lowpass
The LP-8750 passes all frequencies from DC to the specified frequency. All frequencies above the specified frequency are suppressed with minimal insertion loss. It is excellent for CATV and SMATV tier packages in hotels, motels, and apartments.
Lowpass Filter Overview & Specifications Pdf

Highpass
The HP-8760 suppresses all frequencies from DC to the specified frequency. All frequencies above the specified frequency are passed with minimal insertion loss. It is excellent for CATV and SMATV tier packages in hotels, motels, and apartments.

Brick Wall Low/Highpass
Models BWl-9050 and BWH-9060 are extremely sharp cutoff, low and highpass filters. They are designed primarily to uncombine a CATV cable feed to interface to a fiber optics link or for reinserting a block of new programming. Transition from knee to first channel to be rejected is 1.5 MHz. Two brick wall filters can be combined to make an extremely sharp band rejection or bandpass filter.

Pilot Carrier Trap
The PCT-8780 suppresses pilot carriers used in transmission systems. The small size and temperature stability make it suitable to be installed in the AML receiver. It can be used to remove pilot carriers in other CATV applications.

Outdoor Power Passing Channel Deletion Filter Housing with Re-Insertion Input Port
The environmentally sound OH-CDx 15A power passing channel deletion filter housing, while not limited to this use, generally houses channel deletion or brick wall low/highpass filters in order to delete a given block of channels. It is also provisioned to allow for RF insertion after the deletion process. This filter is ideal for use in MDUs which require one or more channels to be deleted and reinserted for security camera monitoring or private channel insertion. Extended temperature channel deletion filters are also used in this housing. The 22” wide housing can be strand, wall, or pedestal mounted. The housing has a –20 dB output test point and a power insertion point.
